Getting the right vehicle for business purposes can prove to be difficult due to the vast choice offered by the manufacturers.  But inadequate research or too little control over who drives what can lead to problems for a company..... Fleet managers need to provide a vehicle that is fit for the purpose for which it is to be used.  Providing a Mini for a 7 foot person weighing 25 stones who needs to carry lots of bulky samples and cover great distances is probably not going to be seen as a good match! Account should therefore be taken of practicability, space, seating position, the experience of the driver, terrain it will be used in, image, etc.  The driver should be involved in the selection process to ensure the chosen vehicle matches as many requirements as possible.  Consideration should also be given to any training needs that may arise from a change of vehicle.
