The Department of Transport has now published National Statistics on road casualties in Great Britain in 2007, which relate to casualties in crashes reported to the police. The encouraging news is that Road Deaths fell below 3,000 for the first time in recent years, meaning that 2007 ended with 2,943; still too high but another step in the right direction.
