New research has confirmed that drivers using hand held (which is of course illegal) or hands free phones whilst driving are putting themselves at greater risk of having a crash, due to the distraction which takes place by reducing the level of concentration needed to control the car and switching it to the phone conversation.

From January 1st 2008 EU law dictates that vehicles between 3.5 and 7.5 tonnes registered on or after January 2005 will be limited to 56mph, bringing this class of vehicle into line with existing LGV legislation.
